After unforeseen delays forced Nord Anglia Education to postpone the design of its flagship North American campus, the worldwide leader in premium education turned to FH-HP to put them back on track. The FH-HP team worked with Nord Anglia to select a Developer-led delivery method that would allow the school to open in time for the 2016-2017 school year.
FH-HP finalized the permitting set for the 280,000-square-foot, 25-acre campus in just a few months. The fast-track approach allowed contractors to commit to a GMP well before the completion of construction documents. Designers vetted value engineering suggestions from contractors, resulting in a design that fits the budget and supports the “Premium and Contemporary” image desired by Nord Anglia Education.
The PK-12 campus is designed for 1,600 students, with easy expansion capability to 2,000. In addition to its Next Generation classrooms which support an International Baccalaureate curriculum, the school includes a multipurpose cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium, swimming pool, gathering areas, a track, and competition football and soccer fields.
